About US
ILLINOIS WOMEN'S SOCCER CLUB
We are the official women's club soccer team at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Our team is comprised of a group of driven and talented athletes who compete at the highest level of intercollegiate club soccer.

Intercollegiate
Club Soccer
Club soccer gives motivated student athletes the opportunity to compete at a high level throughout their college career while allowing for a more balanced lifestyle than NCAA athletics.
Throughout the Fall semester, we play teams across the Midwest in addition to participating in the Regional and National Championship Tournaments.
Competition
Structure
REGULAR SEASON:
From September through October we compete in the West Division of the WMASC, which consists of teams throughout Illinois and Indiana. We play both home and away, and typically have at least one game every weekend during that time.
REGIONALS:
At the end of October, we participate in the NIRSA Region III Tournament along with the best performing teams in each division of the WMASC from across the Midwest. We travel to the host school and play throughout the weekend.
NATIONALS:
In mid-November we travel to and compete in the NIRSA Championship Series National Soccer Championship Tournament.

NIRSA Nationals
IWSC has appeared in every iteration of the NIRSA National Championship Tournament since 2007. Illinois was crowned National Champions in the 2010 Open Division after beating the University of Colorado 1-0 in the final. We have also had three other Quarter Final appearances in both the Open and Championship Divisions.
